The United Taekwon-Do Academy, established in 2003, was headed by Mr Nelsun Cheah, currently an ITF fourth degree holder and international instructor/examiner.  Mr Cheah started teaching ITF Taekwon-Do in Hong Kong since 2002, at a time when ITF has disappeared in the territory with the replacement of ITF by WTF in the 1970s.  When the United Taekwon-Do was formed in 2003, it was the first group in Hong Kong that teaches ITF Taekwon-Do.  Under the advocate of the United Taekwon-Do, various ITF groups united together to form the ITF Hong Kong and Macau Regional in 2004, with Mr Cheah as the President of the Association.

The United Taekwon-Do Academy provides regular ITF Taekwon-Do training in the evening of every Wednesday and Saturday at its independent Dojang for students of all ages and sexes.  Senior and junior students train together so that they could learn and benefit from one another.  Besides regular training, other special training workshops, training camps and social gatherings would also be arranged, with the objective of not only providing quality training to students but also enhancing the unity among students of the same Taekwon-Do family.
